Come and share a weekend with us.

Set in a historic structure in the hills of Khandala, India’s newest multidisciplinary arts space opens its doors to a select audience on January 30, 2026, with a thoughtfully curated weekend of experiences that are designed to transcend time and elevate the spirit.

Join us at sundown and let singer/songwriter Nikhil D’Souza take you on a journey, skipping between genres, uniting us in song, moving effortlessly between Hindi and English in a celebration of the human heart.

The following day, after a mid-morning refresher, comes the poetry of Kausar Munir, one of India’s most celebrated contemporary poets and lyricists, leading a morning of spoken word, reflection, and conversation, with writing that is by turns tender, incisive, and deeply human, juxtaposed with readings from classic works by RADA-trained actress Shanaya Rafaat.

As the setting sun turns gold, the Sanjay Divecha Trio explores the intricacies of jazz, playing standards and his own extraordinary original compositions, uniting the old and the new in the electric atmosphere of the Abbey as it welcomes the night—transforming its character, blurring the lines between performer and spectator, dissolving boundaries, creating new and exciting conversations.

The next morning, a bracing cup of chai greets you before dawn, and bansuri maestro and Grammy Award-winner Rakesh Chaurasia coaxes the sun from its resting place to bathe us in light, and reintroduces us to Bhairavi as we have never heard it before, playing an ancient instrument in the most modern moment in our human story, showing us that tradition is not the worship of ashes, but the preservation of fire.

And all the while, an exhibition of 32 ceramic sculptures by the artist G. Reghu is displayed on the Abbey grounds, available to view at different times of day, at your leisure, as they play with the light and our own perception of time and space, showing us ourselves, silent, evocative, timeless.

Abbey 301 is more than a venue; it is a place where artists and audiences meet in a shared belief in the arts and its future. This launch weekend marks the beginning of that journey—an intimate gathering to inaugurate a new home for creativity, inspiration, and community.

We would be delighted to welcome you as one of the first to experience Abbey 301.
